This assignment focused on superzoom photography, using a camera to document the moon throughout different stages of its lunar cycle, including crescent, half, and full moon phases. The goal was to explore how distance, lighting, and timing affect clarity and detail when capturing a subject that is constantly changing. This process required patience, planning, and a strong understanding of camera settings to achieve sharp, high-resolution images at such an extreme range. This photograph was taken on June 24, 2023, during a clear night in Maple Grove, Minnesota. It captures the moon in striking detail, highlighting its craters, surface textures, and subtle variations in light and shadow during different lunar periods.
